For over 7 years, SHALOM TECHNICAL COLLEGE has been proudly serving its learners and communities. The College continues to grow programs, facilities and opportunities as it transitions to become a comprehensive regional TVET college.


STC johannesburg is strategically located with well-equipped training centres in Johannesburg CBD and the City of Ekurhuleni (Eastrand). The college is easily accessible because of its nearness to major transportation route. The college premises also boast of very large classroom space to accommodate lots of learners and envisaged growth. The college also has spacious car park to cater for our staffs, learners and visitors. The college boasts of highly qualified personnel in both academic and administrative support in line with our objective of ensuring high standards in all spheres of teaching and learning. We also have well-equipped conference facility to accommodate Corporate and Executive delegates.


STC johannesburg modern classrooms and fully equipped practical workshop to facilitate practical and quality teaching. The college has very strong technical partnership with major manufacturing and technology companies in South Africa where learners are placed for work integrated learning program to acquire more practical skills in a work place environment. We also have exit level strategy for a successful job placement at the end of the programme.

Our learners are our priority. We maintain an outstanding learning environment through efficient use of modern equipment and well trained staff. To enrol for any of the qualifications, learners only need to have the minimum of Grade 9 or higher.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Shalom Technical College Johannesburg offers full qualifications in Electrician, Welding Application and Practice, Plumbing, Boiler making, Engineering Technology, Information Technology (IT), to mention but a few. We are also accredited by the Department of Higher Education (DHET) to offer training in Nated programmes from N1 to N6 in Engineering and Business courses. We have also applied for extension of scope and obtaining additional accreditation with other Sector Education and Training Authorities (Seta’s), the Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) and the Department of Higher Education to enable us offer more training in the FET band. Shalom Technical College Johannesburg have established partnerships with businesses and governmental entities as well as other educational institutions to advance economic development and improve the quality of life of our learners and communities through offering broad-based further education programmes. Learners are fully equipped with the skills to function effectively in the workplace. Shalom technical college Johannesburg offer programmes that meet the needs of our communities and workplace.


LEARNER REGISTRATIONS

Shalom Technical College Johannesburg has the capacity to register 500 learners yearly and shall increase by 25% annually. Shalom Technical College shall address learners concerns by ensuring that there is an effective feedback from learners at all levels. Learners concerns shall be addressed and rectified promptly. There shall be a Learners concern log book. Shalom Technical College shall establish an effective fees collection mechanism, and ensure that bad debts are reduced or eliminated.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL), Exit Level outcome & Successful Job Placement. The training programme include work-integrated learning (WIL). The purpose of work-integrated learning is for learners to connect academic learning with workplace practice, and prepare them for the workplace. This also serve as an exit level strategy for a successful job placement at the end of the programme.


EXIT STRATEGIES AFTER STUDIES

      Shalom Technical College johannesburg seek Learnership and internship opportunities for students after completion of their studies for experience purposes.
      Shalom Technical College will link students to companies for special performance vehicle.
      Young Entrepreneurs will be given a special incubation workshop and connect them to the SPV programme that deals with introducing them to the major business world for their stable foundation.
      Small existing SMME’s will also undergo an advance entrepreneurship programme which will prepare and link them to mainstream businesses.
